Walkthrough (SPOILERS!)


If you're stuck in the game, the last thing we want is for you to get frustrated. So here's a quick walkthrough of the game (to be used at your own peril, of course). 

Getting into the mansion

Where's the key? Psych. There is no key. Just push the front door. 

How do I make ghost repellent?

You need four items to make ghost repellent, but you need to talk to Razor and get her to tell you the ingredients first.

After that, go to the first floor landing and through the door on the left to the art room. Get the spray bottle.

Go to the top floor (the one with the many doors) and go through the fourth door from your left. Get the hose from the exercise machine. 

Go back into the hallway and through the door on the far right. Get the plant soil from the dead plant. 

Go back downstairs to the entry hallway. Go through the kitchen door (next to the grandfather clock) and keep going right until you get to the pool area. Get the shears from the small room just before the pool. 

Go through the gate to the garage. Use the hose or spray bottle on the car to get gasoline. 

Go back to the front of the house (through the front door). Use the shears on the bush outside to reveal an open grate. Go through the grate. Get the sponge from the floor. 

Get rid of Wendy by the pool (see solution further down). Go into the pool and use the sponge on the radioactive ooze. 

Put the plant soil and sponge with radioactive ooze in the spray bottle to make ghost repellent. 

Press SPACE whenever you're being chased by a malevolent ghost to dispel them. Note that the ghosts must be chasing you before you can dispel them. 

Get JPS' guitar pick back

Get rid of Dave in Edna's room. Then you can pick up the guitar pick and give it to JPS. 

Get drum stick for SQH

Go to the dining room (through the kitchen door) and get the carving knife from the dinner table. 

Go to the pool area. Get rid of Wendy (see solution further down). Get the twig from the side of the pool. Use the carving knife on the twig to make a drum stick. Go to the dungeon and give the drum stick to SQH. 

Fix the generator

Go to the kitchen (door next to the grandfather clock). Open the fridge and pick up the vegetable oil

Go to the pool area (through the kitchen and dining room) and get the shears from the small room before the pool. Go to the front of the house (through the front door) and use the shears on the bush to get under the house. 

Go to the far right and use the vegetable oil on the generator. 

Get rid of Wendy

Go to the library (main hallway, furthest door on the right, through the living room). Look at the books under M for McKracken. Pick up Zak's book

Go to the 2nd floor hallway (with the statue). Go through the second door on your left to the doctor's office. Open the desk to get a pen

Go to the pool area and talk to Wendy until she tells you to get a special book ("New objective" must be given). Use the pen on Zak's book. Give Wendy the signed book

Get rid of Dave

Talk to Dave. Ask him about Sandy. Keep talking to him until Zak suggests that he send Sandy a message.

Go to the small room before the pool (through the kitchen and dining room on the first floor). Get the shovel

Go to the front of the house (through the front door). Look at the gravestones until you find Dave's grave. Use the shovel on Dave's grave to get the letter

Go to Ed's room (3rd floor, 3rd door on your left). Get the package

Go to the kitchen (1st floor, door next to the grandfather clock). Use the faucet to turn it on. Use the package on the faucet. Open the microwave. Put the package in the microwave and close it, then use the microwave. Open the microwave and take the package, which gives you a stamp. Use the stamp on the letter.

Go to the front of the house (through the front door) and to the far left. Use the stamped letter on the mailbox, then go tell Dave you've sent the letter. 

How do I get the band to stop soundchecking? 

The band will continue to do their soundcheck until you've made ghost repellent. If you've already made ghost repellent when you give them the pick and drum stick, simply go into a room and go back into the front hall. Razor should be gone and the soundcheck should be over. 

Endgame

Dispel the ghosts in the lab rooms with ghost repellent. 

In the final room, either push the evil or try to walk past it. Either way wins the game.
